[Hark Deeper] "Boy Voyage: 나와 어디론가 도망갈래?"

My first ever mixtape were entitled as "Bon Voyage: 나와 어디론가 도망갈래?" (Wanna Runaway With Me Somewhere?). It's a mixtape with K-Hip Hop as it base flow.

The story behind this mix is basically just my daydream about EXO's Do Kyungsoo and Park Chanyeol having a duo project where they deliver some music with these kind of flow. Because to be very honest, Kyungsoo and Chanyeol's musicality is really amazing, and it would be more amazing if they can bring some songs with amazing flow, like these K-Hip Hop songs which has some awesome bites. And if I must gave people a picture about how they album should sound like, this is exactly how it should sound like.

I'll speak as these songs were like ChanSoo's (Chanyeol+Kyungsoo) actual songs. Where I'm projecting some part of the song were Chanyeol's and the other were Kyungsoo's, basically. As for the "album", I really want it to has a smooth flow that will bring you from the first track to the last without even notice it because of its smoothness. Also, I really want this "album" to portray ChanSoo's musicality from every point and aspect.

Tracklist:

1. Tomorrow Sucks by Demicat feat. Sean2Slow and Beenzino

Tomorrow Sucks is the title song from the album with the same title by Demicat. But right here, I'm using the Bonus Mix version which featuring Sean2Slow and Beenzino, since I need the rap part for Chanyeol.

This song is a Nu Jazz song that has a low-tempo and accompanied by Demicat, Sean2Slow, and Beenzino's pretty chill vibe of rap and sing. Since I really want this "album" to have a really smooth flow where there's no sudden jump of tempo, I think it's a really good track to start an album, I suppose.

2. 비범벅 (Walking In the Rain) by Verbal Jint feat. Bumkey

비범벅 is a Single by Verbal Jint in 2013. Verbal Jint, in my opinion, has a pretty similar rhythm to Chanyeol's rap.

This song still a continuum of the first track with the rain sound that still gave a chill vibe, even though Verbal Jint's rap has a faster tempo. I'm expecting this song to be the bridge of the "album" before the tempo get higher.

3. 나가면 고생이야 (Come To My Crib) by K.Will feat. Beenzino

나가면 고생이야 is a track from The Third Album Part. 1 of K.Will in 2012. K.Will is actually a ballad singer, but amazingly fit with Nu Jazz and Soul vibe. Even though I can't really feel that K.Will's voice and Kyungsoo's voice actually has the same colour, but I can definitely feel that their voice has a same vibe with the way they sing. And I think I should stating the fact that Chanyeol has been really looking up to Beenzino, I think if Chanyeol ever get the chance to perform this song, he will do a perfect job since the rap part of this song has a really great beat to Chanyeol's rhythm.

This song bring the album from low-tempo to mid-tempo. Although this song was accompanied by piano tunes at the back which still gave you a slow vibe, but the whole tunes actually get pretty faster wave than the previous song. And this song is more intense by a bit than the previous song, so it would be no awkward jump of tempo to the climax since this song can represent both side of low and mid tempo.

4. Bon Voyage by K.Will feat. Beenzino

Bon Voyage is a track from the second part of K.Will's The Third Album in 2013. This mixtape's title were taken from this song's title and a pinch of its lyric. This is the exact same combination of sing and rap as the previous song. But different feeling.

In this song, you get a solid mid-tempo song which sound brighter than the other earlier songs. In my opinion, this song pretty much showing you ChanSoo as them self in real life, like a bright character in their daily basis. But at the same time still showing you are they when the microphone is on their grip.

5. BAAAM by Dynamic Duo feat. Muzie of UV

BAAAM is the title song from The 7th Album titled "LUCKYNUMBERS" of Dynamic Duo which released in 2013. I, myself, have to admit that I'm a big shipper of Chanyeol and Dynamic Duo. And Chanyeol is a fan of them as well. Also there's no doubt that Dynamic Duo's musics fit perfectly for Chanyeol's style. You can't argue with that.

This song is where I put the climax of the album on. If I should put ChanSoo's vibe in a nutshell, this would do the best. Choiza's rhythm would really fit Chanyeol. Gaeko's sway will be great to be pulled off by Kyungsoo.

6. 씨스루 (See Through) by Primary feat. Zion.T and Gaeko of Dynamic Duo

씨스루 is the B-side track of "Primary and The Messengers Part. 3" Single of Primary in 2012. Even though there's only one Primary's song in this list, but in my opinion Primary's musics can really fit ChanSoo's style the most with their Dynamic Duo vibe.

As you can hear, this song doesn't have any rap part on it like the other songs I've chose. Where can you picture Chanyeol's part in this song if there's no rap part then? Should I reminds you, my friend, that Chanyeol is a great singer. I really want to have Chanyeol singing in this "album". And I want to let you picture the condition through this song as how I've imagine him sing to it.

Actually, he had sang to this song on a radio once before. And he did a great job.

7. 아까워 (You Don't Deserve Her) by Epik High feat. Gaeko of Dynamic Duo

아까워 is a track from Epik High's Studio Album called "99" in 2012. The whole song were only accompanied by beatbox as their base beat. So, the song has a pretty slow wave despite its intense rap and beatbox. A song that I chose to take the flow back to get a little lower as it's getting to the end of the "album"

Chanyeol got the chance to get out from his comfort zone in the previous song, now this is Kyungsoo's turn. Once again, I want to remind you a thing, Kyungsoo is great with his beatbox, even marvellous I suppose. So, here I'm expecting Kyungsoo to beatboxing for the beat as well as sing Gaeko's part, and also rap to some part. Am I expecting too much from Kyungsoo? Well, he is that awesome he makes me set a high expectation of him. If Kyungsoo and Chanyeol's beatbox were combined for the beat, nothing will ever be able to break the awesomeness, to be honest.

8. Click Me (2013) by Zion.T feat. Dok2

Click Me (2013) is a remake version of the same titled song by Zion.T from his Red Light Album in 2013. This version is featuring Dok2.
Just like how K.Will voice doesn't really match to Kyungsoo's voice, Zion.T's voice doesn't do as well. But yet again, Kyungsoo will fit the sway that Zion.T has in his singing. It's sexy.

This is a Hip-Hop song that got a Soul sound in it, a low-tempo song with a bright piano tunes, a great song to be the last chapter of the "album", a great way to end a show.

I'm not sure if all the stuff up there makes any sense to you, but for me, I can hear everything legibly in my head. To have Chanyeol and Kyungsoo out from their "idol music" will be a great thing to witness. I wish somehow I'll get the chance to hear them like that in real life.

Have a good day with a good vibe,
-Chacha
